In the sculpture, the figure of Bendigeidfran, bearing the body of his nephew Gwern, symbolises the sorrowful burden that love can be. Harlech Castle in Harlech, Gwynedd, on the northwest coast of Wales next to the Irish Sea, was built by Edward I in the closing decades of the 13th century as one of several castles designed to consolidate his conquest of Wales.

  • A life-size sculpture of a Hummer H1 made entirely out of styrofoam by San Francisco artist Andrew Junge. The sculpture was constructed from hundreds of pieces of packing material and is on display in San Francisco International Airport's Terminal 3. The items are part of an exhibit titled the Art of Recology: The Artist in Residence Program 1990-2013 that makes use of reclaimed and recycled materials.

  • The Two Kings statue at Harlech Castle in northwestern Wales. Sculpted by Ivor Roberts-Jones and unveiled in 1984, the sculpture depicts the Mabinogion story of Branwen, a lament of the folly and carnage of war. In the sculpture, the figure of Bendigeidfran, bearing the body of his nephew Gwern, symbolises the sorrowful burden that love can be. Harlech Castle in Harlech, Gwynedd, on the northwest coast of Wales next to the Irish Sea, was built by Edward I in the closing decades of the 13th century as one of several castles designed to consolidate his conquest of Wales.

A self-enclosed and fortified palace, the complex includes the Purple Forbidden City, which was the inner sanctum of the imperial household, as well as temples, courtyards, gardens, and other buildings. Much of the Imperial City was damaged or destroyed during the Vietnam War. It is now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Sculpture on display in an exhibit of Asian art in the Freer Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
