Lincoln Memorial Statue Sunrise
The large statue of the Lincoln Memorial catches the first rays of the sun at sunrise during the equinox in Washington DC. Because the monument faces precisely east, towards the US Capitol Dome, it catches the sun directly only in the days around the equinox.
