Washington DC

If you're looking to impress with some art of your walls, these ultra premium prints make quite the impression.
<br/><br/>
I offer three types of premium prints. For unframed loose prints for framing, I offer prints on Kodak Professional Supra Endura VC Digital Paper with either a Lustre or Metallic finish. (Lustre is a traditional finish for framed prints. Metallic finish provides a vibrant, high-contrast image.) I also offer prints on Moab Entrada Rag paper. This isn't your average photo paper. It's a beautiful exhibition quality paper that creates long-lasting print with exceptional detail and rich colors. It also needs to be handled with care because it can scuff and scratch more easily than standard paper--please alert your framer to this so they can use extra care.
<br/><br/>
Prints are also available as ready-to-mount metal print. With these, the image is printed directly on to a thin aluminum sheet. These don't need to be framed--they come with mounting hardware to hand directly on the wall. The prints have an extraordinary richness and depth and a high-gloss finish. These prints really pop!

Because of heatwave conditions extending across much of the North American continent and an unusually warm winter in the Washington DC region, the 2012 peak bloom came earlier than usual.

  • The Korean War Veterans Memorial on the National Mall on a winter morning after heavy snow. The Korean War Veterans Memorial, unveiled in 1992, sits on the northwestern end of the National Mall, not far from the Lincoln Memorial. It consists of several elements designed by different people and groups. It has a triangular footprint with the main elements being ?The Column? consisting of 19 stainless steel solders, each over 7 feet tall, and a reflective granite wall etched with the faces of thousands of Americans who lost their lives in the war. At one end of the triangle, behind the soldiers, is a grove of trees. At the other is a large American flag and a small Pool of Remembrance. Among the designers were Frank Gaylord (the soldiers) and Louis Nelson (the reflecting granite wall).
